DU Admissions 2019 : 14 New Changes

DU Admission 2019 is focused over the changes to see the new process being easier and more inclusive for the students aspiring to study at Delhi University. Here are the new 14 changes in the admission process for the year.

DU Admissions 2019 
1-At an additional price of Rs 100, the students will be able to edit their forms after filling them during the registration process.
2-The cancellation fee for the registration has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1000 in order to ensure students to weigh their options and so as to seek the admissions, and for the cancellation, only one cancellation is allowed per cut-off list.
3-The Delhi University dashboard would be as the interactive one where the  students will now be able to see the number of the seats up for the grabs, how many of the seats are for the grabs, how many have been filled and this would keep the registration safe as no one will end up applying to the college where the seats have already been filled.
4-Yoga, which was a part of the sports quota list in the Delhi University till the last year,  would now have been added under the Extra Curricular Activities. 
5-The varsity has included Modern Indian Languages in the list of the academic subjects in the DU admission 2019, that means if students choose these as one of their main subjects for the calculation of their relevant four marks, they  will not face the 2.5 percent of deduction of the marks, which was the norm till last year.
6-There are different state boards which will have different subjects with the various nomenclature, but with a similar curriculum to the CBSE subjects, which are considered as the standard by the Delhi University.  At earlier the students from the other of the boards would have to face the 2.5 percent of the reduction in the marks, but now this won't happen.
7-The suggestive online calculator will also help and assist the students to fill their marks, officials also added as the admission portal is mobile friendly too and can even support and run on a 2G network.
8-The National Testing Agency would be conducting the entrance exams for more than 180 courses, which includes the 11 undergraduate programs of the Delhi University.
9-This 2019, the varsity would be also affecting to a 10 percent increase in the seats for the weaker economic sections and there will be a rise close count to 6,000 seats, taking the total number of the seats for the undergraduate courses to 62,000.
10-There will also be separate cut-offs for the students who belonged to the EWS category for the DU admissions 2019.
11-The eight evening colleges of Delhi University are prepared to carry out their relevant admission process between 11 am and 5 pm, to ensure that the outstation students do not face any of the inconvenience. Four of the relevant colleges have the same persons discharging the duty of the principal of both of the evenings and of the morning colleges.
12-This time, DU has made it as made as a mandate that the departments carry out the forensic examinations of the relevant mark sheets and documents submitted for postgraduate admissions.
13-The varsity has been tied up with the CBSE and also gained access to its database of the results from the year 2014 to 2019.
14-Delhi University has also has advised with the colleges that give the relaxation to the women in the cut-offs to gain a uniform policy and stop in the varying percentages of the relaxation.

DU Admission 2019, Over 1.6 Lakh Registration

With the increasing count of the number as of so far as over 1.63 lakh aspirants have registered on the Delhi University’s (DU) Admission portal as so far in the admission process for the university officials said on Sunday. The DU had commenced over the online registration process at 8 pm on the date of May 30, which would conclude on the date of June 14 and the first cut-off is likely as to be released on the date of June 20.
The DU now is holding “open days” for the relevant students with the parents so as to bring clarity to their doubts. The first “Open Day” was held on May 31 and the second on Monday held in the North Campus.
On this increasing count of the applications the count has reached as 1,3,597 students have registered and of the 78,066 have made the payments, the university said as of now. 

Of the total numbers of the registrations counts,50,057 aspirations are in the category of unreserved, the 13,028 are in the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC), 11,269 are in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, and the Schedule Tribe(ST)  2,361 category and the rest 1,357 in the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category. This year, DU has also affected in the increase of a 10% in the category of EWS and also there will also be a rise of the close of the 6,000 seats, taking the total number of seats to a count of 62,000 undergraduate courses all over. Also for the EWS category, the University has decided to separate cut-offs for the relevant students.

DU Admission: NSUI announced to pay fees of slain soldiers kids

Delhi University Admissions: NSUI to pay the fees of the kids of the slain soldiers, farmers seeking admission in Delhi University
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in regarding this announced, it would pay for the relevant fees of the Delhi University aspirants, who were the children of slain security personnel and also for the farmers who committed suicide.

NSUI also announced that would pat the fees of Delhi University aspirants who are children of slain security personnel and the farmers who committed suicide.
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Wednesday announced it will also pay the fees of the Delhi University aspirants who are the children of the slain security personnel and the farmers who committed suicide. The Congress-backed the students’ body so as to make the announcement on the occasion of the party president as Rahul Gandhi’s birthday.
The NSUI wants to help the relevant children from the families of slain Army and the security personnel.

For this, it wants it to pay the one year’s fees for the children from those of the families who are going to take the admission in the Delhi University this year, it said.
The NSUI will also be paying for the fees to those who come from the families of farmers who committed suicide due to the non-payment of the loans to the banks, it added.
Students from here will have to register themselves on  “”,  following which the National Committee will verify for the claims and also hence serve the children from the mentioned families, as accordingly, the NSUI said.

DU released it's first cut-off for UG courses of 2019-20

Delhi University has released its first cut off list for admissions into undergraduate courses and the cut-offs in some of the courses have touched the ceiling of 99%. Delhi University has declared separate DU Cut Off for Science, Commerce, and Arts colleges. The admission is done on the basis of class 12th performance. The Delhi University Cut Off every year is declared in 7 to 8 rounds, for admission in more than 70 colleges of DU. Despite of having such high cut off marks, there was around 2000+ admissions in DU on the first day after cut off release, according provided by DU. The University of Delhi ascertains a cut off for all the affiliated colleges under it. These cutoffs vary from college to college also from course to course.

Cut-offs in some Delhi University colleges 

Following are few colleges in Delhi University with high cutoff : 

  • Hindu College has come out with the highest score of 99 per cent for Political Science Honours course
  • Lady Sriram College is asking at least 98.75 per cent for BA programme and Psychology honours courses.
  • Sri Ram College of Commerce has also announced a cut-off of 98.75 per cent for Economics honours. 
  • Not only arts but science courses are also starting at the 99% ceiling
  • Hindu College seeking 98.3 per cent for Physics honours and 97.75 for Statistics and Mathematics.
  • Other courses such as journalism are also in demand with DCAC's highest cut-off for journalism is at 98.50 per cent.

As we have already informed that for every course and college, DU Cut Off 2019 will be released individually. The University of Delhi will be determined cut off depending on various factors like the number of seats, class 12th marks secured by the candidates, etc. If a student qualifies DU First Cut Off list then they need not worry. They can try for the Second or the Third DU Cut Off List 2019.

The second cut off of DU list is expected to come out on July 4.
