Medical seats number increased by 5,200 for EWS: NEET

Minister of state, Ashwini Kumar Choubey announced the news of an increase in 5200 number of MBBS seats for the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) reservation quota medical colleges by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Mr.Choubey brought this news today on 24th July 2019 in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha which is only applicable for the state government’s colleges, state government aided society run colleges, municipal corporation’s colleges & colleges set up in private-public mode for the academic session 2019-20.

According to Union minister Harsh Vardhan, within 2 years, the number of seats increased for UG and PG in medical colleges is 24,698. During the period of 2017-18 to 2019-20, the number of seats increased for UG and PG are 15,815 & 2,153 respectively. Mr. Vardhan submitted the data on 12th July 2019 that 10,565 UG and 2,153 PG seats have been increased in 2019-20. He informed that there are total 75,000 MBBS seats are now available for NEET qualifiers.

The EWS reservation will be allotted for the increased seats not for the existing seats already declared. Here is the data of increased seat number according to state wise

NEET Score valid For Three Years For UG Programme ...

This is to inform that NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) score is valid for three years for those Indian students who want to pursue undergraduate medical course abroad. “Result of NEET shall be valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of result, entitling a candidate to pursue MBBS or equivalent medical course including pre-medical/language course, if any, followed by MBBS or equivalent medical course.” Said the official notification of Medical Council of India. Added to this the notification further read that “these regulations may be called the “Eligibility Requirement for Taking Admission in an Undergraduate Medical Course in a Foreign Medical Institution (Amendment) Regulation, 2019.”For now, these latest amendments are to come into force since the date of publication in the official Gazette i.e March 14, 2019.Last March the Medical Council of India,said: “Indian Citizens/Overseas Citizen of India intending to obtain primary medical qualification from any medical institution outside India, on or after May 2018, shall have to mandatorily qualify the NEET for admission to MBBS course besides fulfilling the eligibility criteria for admission to the MBBS course prescribed in the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997.”To Know More about NEET, Click Here

NEET 2019 Admitcard to be Released Soon Know More ...

NTA is going to release the admit cards for NEET 2019  tentatively on April 15, 2019. NEET 2019 admit card will be released on the official website, ntaneet.nic.in. Candidates are required to complete their registration details for downloading the NEET admit card from the official website. The NEET 2019 examination will be held on May 5, 2019, from 2 pm to 5 pm. The NEET 2019 results will be declared on the NTA website on June 5, 2019.The medium of the language of NEET 2019 question paper will be in 11 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The distribution of NEET question paper in various languages will be depending upon the state and the examination centre will be mentioned in the NEET admit card.Scoring and Marking PatternEach question carries 4 marks. For each correct answer, students will secure 4 marks and for each wrong answer, there will be the dedication of 1 mark. NEET UG 2019 Admit Card Released For Odisha Circle...

Due to severe cyclonic storm FANI, the NEET UG 2019 entrance exam has been rescheduled to be conducted on the 20th of May for the candidates who have their exam centers at Odisha. The entrance exam has been conducted across the country except for Odisha, on May 5, 2019. The counselling session for the NEET 2019 entrance exam has been released online by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). The candidates qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019, will have to register themselves for the counselling procedure. AP NEET 2019 Merit List Released Online, Download ...

The provisional merit list for the Andhra Pradesh NEET 2019 has been released online by the Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Vijayawada. The merit list has been uploaded by the university on its official website. The candidates appeared for the entrance exam can check their rank on the merit list by visiting the official website.Those who have successfully qualified and selected will need to undergo the admission procedure which will start with the document verification process followed by medical examination. The verification process is expected to start today. After the completion of the verification process, the final merit list will be released. The result for the 1st seat allotment has been released online in PDF format. The result displays the rank, allotted quota, allotted institute, course, allotted category & allotment status.However, MCC has withdrawn the provisional result for the first round of NEET 2019 counselling later today.
