Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level online entrance test, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), India for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE. CMAT is conducted every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

This test is all about evaluating the candidate’s ability across various segments such as Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness. The CMAT score is approved by all AICTE-Approved Institutions or University Departments or Constituent Colleges and Affiliated Colleges.

CMAT 2020 Admit Card:

The admit card for CMAT 2020 is expected to be released on the 7th of January, 2020. The admit card will be made available on the official website of NTA for the eligible candidates. The candidate can get their admit cards by logging in to the official website of NTA with their enroll. ID and Password. A copy of the admit card will also be sent to the candidates' registered email-ID.

CMAT 2020 Cut Off:

The cut off is the minimum mark required by the candidates to qualify the entrance exam. The cut off mark for CMAT 2020 varies as per the participating institute. During the application submission procedure, the candidate needs to apply for their desired institutes separately. After the result declaration, the participating institutes will release their respective cut off marks. The candidates need to score the same or more than the cut off mark to be eligible for the admission procedure.

CMAT 2020 Application Form:

The registration for CMAT 2020 will start from the November 2, 2019  and will continue till December 7, 2019 . The candidates have to apply for the entrance exam online on the official website of NTA CMAT.

  • Upload all the required documents

CMAT 2020 Counselling:

The counselling session for CMAT 2020 will start soon after the declaration of result and the shortlist of the candidates. The eligible candidates will be required to register themselves for the counselling session. The candidates can register by visiting the official website. The candidates will also be given the option to choose their desired college and course. They have to report at the assigned college with their original documents for the document verification process.

CMAT 2020 Result:

According to the notification, the authority has decided to publish the result in the pdf format through online mode. Candidates should check their CMAT result on 8th February 2020. Results will be announced in the form of All India Merit List & State Merit List. The CMAT merit list 2020 will indicate the candidates roll number, rank and the score of all the candidates.

CMAT Score Card 2020
Candidates, those names in the merit list, they can download the scorecard in the third week of February 2020. The scorecard will be issued through online mode on the official website. No separate scorecard will be sent to the selected candidates by email or by post. The CMAT 2020 score card will be valid only for one year, i.e. the academic year 2020-2021.

CMAT 2020 Answer Key:

The answer key for CMAT 2020 will be released soon after the commencement of the entrance exam by the National Testing Agency. The answer key will be made available on the official website of NTA CMAT 2020. The notice regarding the answer keys also says that the candidates who are not satisfied with the answer key can also challenge the official answer key by filling up the respective online form along with the required processing charge which is 1000/- per question.

CMAT 2020 Eligibility:

The candidates are required to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam. The candidates need to qualify all the criteria to be eligible for the entrance exam.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:
  • The candidate must have graduated from any discipline from a recognized institution with an aggregated mark.
  • The candidates appearing for the final exam of their graduation are also eligible for the entrance exam.
  • The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • There is no age limit for CMAT 2020 entrance exam.

Q: Why is CMAT better than CAT?
A: CMAT offers a higher success rate than CAT. The level of difficulty in CMAT is lower with respect to the CAT. Also, more than 2 lac candidates take CAT each year, raising the competition level.

A: Shift 1 - 9.30 am to 12.30 pm & Shift 2 - 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Q: What is the mode of the examination?
A: The examination will be in online mode, i.e. Computer based.

A: Yes, there is negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
