Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Online Test 2018 is a common mandatory MBA entrance test for admission to all the 15 Symbiosis Institutes affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune. The candidates wishing to join MBA, MSc, CA and MSc (SS) programmes offered by the Symbiosis Institutes have to appear for the SNAP Test 2018. The candidates have to register for SNAP Test & also register for the institutes offering his or her choice of programmes by paying separate programmes registration fees. If qualified, he or she would have to attend the GE-PIWAT process conducted by each of these institutes individually. The registration process for SNAP has been simplified and the aspirants can now complete the SNAP and programme registrations in the same portal.

Eligibility Criteria for SNAP 2018:
  • The candidate must have passed a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). There are programs which require specific discipline or subject specialization as to be checked for eligibility by the respective Institute.
  • The candidate must have a qualifying degree from any Foreign University and have to obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees or qualifications will have to be verified from AIU  before seeking admission to any program of SIU.

Things to know for filling up SNAP 2018 Application Form:

  • The candidates should fill up the application form  through Internet Explorer version 6.0 or above, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
  • The candidates have to fill all the mandatory fields correctly and completely in SNAP 2018 Application form.
  • Wrong information given by the candidates will lead to cancellation of the form.
  • The candidates have to recheck the information given by them before final submission of the form.
  • The photograph uploaded by the candidates have to be taken within 3 months).
  • If candidates want to change the prefered exam city, it can be done till the last date of form filling up process.
  • The payment of application fee marks the end of procedure of the SNAP application form filling up process.

  • Graduation mark sheets or certificate
SNAP 2018 Exam Pattern:
  • The mode of exam is online. 
  • The questions are of objective type.
  • There will be total 180 objective type questions.
  • The  duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
  • (+1) for each correct answer and (-1/4)  marks for each wrong answer

SNAP 2018 Admit Card:
The candidates can download their admit cards from the offical website of Symbiosis University. This can be done from 1st week of December 2018 tentaitvely. The candidates will have to carry their admit card as well as a photo ID proof like Passport or Pan Card or Voter ID Card or Driving License or Aadhaar Card (UID) or Credit Card (Photo attached) or College ID card for verification purpose. 
SNAP 2018 Application Fee:
  • The application fee for candidates is Rs. 1750. It can be submitted through Billdesk or Easebuzz Gateway, Indian Bank Gateway & Demand Draft.
  • The candidates, those submit the fee through DD they have to pay Rs. 2065 (which include Rs.1750 as test fee). The DD can be made in favor of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.
SNAP 2018 Syllabus:

General English:

Jumbled paragraphs (6 sentences with first and last fixed), Verbal Reasoning, Antonyms, Comprehension of passage (Poems can also come), Fill In the Blanks, One word substitution, Different usage of same word, Sentence completion, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences, Sentence correction, Odd man out, Idioms etc.

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency:

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is regarded as the biggest MBA entrance test in India for the admission to more than 5000 seats in all IIMs and hundreds of top MBA colleges including FMS Delhi, JBIMS Mumbai, SPJIMR Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IITs, XIMB, IMT, IMI, TAPMI, and others. CAT will be conducted across India around 150 cities.  Test cities are mentioned in CAT website and the name of the test center is in the Admit Card.   The candidates who want to get admitted to the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) in the management programs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, Amritsar, , Bodh Gaya, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Sambalpur, Shillong, Sirmaur, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam, Jammu and other top B-schools have to qualify in the Common Admission Test (CAT). CAT is a computer based (Online) test. The test scores of a candidate will be calculated on the basis of Quantitative Ability (QA), Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI), Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR). Candidates who are appearing for the final year of graduation degree or equivalent examination or are awaiting results or those who have completed degree requirements can also apply. Candidates applying for CAT 2019 should fulfil any one of the following conditions: 1. Completed graduation degree with the required percentage of marks. 2. Completed professional degrees like CA or CS or ICWA with the required percentage. 3. CAT 2018 Reservation: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively. 27% of seats are reserved for OBC (Other Backward Classes) candidates of “non-creamy” layer (NC-OBC). 5% seats are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwD). A copy of the SC or ST or NC-OBC or PwD certificate(s) will be uploaded at the time of CAT Application registration. Note: Updated state-wise central list of OBCs eligible for availing the benefit of reservation and information with respect to the creamy layer will be available on http://www.ncbc.nic.in How to Register for CAT 2018? Step 1: Go to www.iimcat.ac.in and click on the ‘Register’ button under New Candidate Registration header to create your own user profile. The Registration form window will open in your browser. Create your own User Profile by completing the registration process and generate the OTP by clicking on to OTP button. It will redirect to CAPTCHA to fill and submit the OTP number received on your mobile for verification. As soon as the submission of your Registration Form, you will receive your User ID on the registered email address from the Administrator with the subject line CAT 2018 Login Details.   Step 2: Login to CAT Website. Fill Application Form which includes Personal, Communication Address, Academic and Emergency Contact Details, Upload Documents Select the Programme and the Interview City for that Programme as per the cities listed from the respective drop-down list. Applicant can select any four Test Cities as per his or her preference from drop-down menu. Click on Save and proceed to the Payment section. Select the Payment Mode. After selecting, the respective payment gateway will open for you. Candidates will take a printout of their application form for further use.
